Let's get legislators' budget progress report

Remember when your school report card was sent home to your parents? Well, here's a novel idea. Ask your state legislator to send to each of his constituents a report about his individual efforts in developing a feasible state budget.

Better yet, save printing, mailing and postage costs. Send one report to each legislator's local newspaper for publishing. We all are trying to save taxpayers' money - right?

Remember when the candidate knocked on your door asking for your vote? Well. now it's time to ask for their on-the-job progress report.

If you don't ask. you don't get.
