Libertyville man facing child porn charges

A Libertyville man was charged Friday after evidence of child pornography was found during a search of his home, according to prosecutors.

Brian Schmitz, 34, of Libertyville, was charged with three counts of possessing child pornography, according to the Lake County state's attorney's office. He faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted, prosecutors said. He was being held in the Lake County jail on a $200,000 bond.
