Carpentersville

• Eduardo Arevalo, 21, of the 2000 block of Berkshire Circle, was charged Sunday with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis and operating an uninsured vehicle, according to a police report. An officer stopped Arevalo's vehicle around midnight at Deerpath and Drury lanes after he failed to stop at two stop signs and didn't use his turn signal. Police say Arevalo had two grams of cannabis and a glass pipe. He was released on a personal recognizance bond.

• A resident on the 100 block of Golfview Lane reported a burglary that occurred sometime between 4 and 8 p.m. Saturday. A window screen on the side of the house had been cut. Items stolen include tools, a 62-inch plasma TV, jewelry, watches, a laptop, a tablet and $3,000 in cash.

• A resident on the 2000 block of Silverstone Drive reported someone slashed two tires on his vehicle sometime between 7 p.m. Friday and 10:30 a.m. Saturday and caused about $300 in damage.

• A resident on the 2000 block of Limestone Lane reported three tires on his truck had been slashed while it was parked in a common area of his townhouse complex sometime between 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday. The tires were worth about $500.

• A resident reported Friday that someone attempted to burglarize her apartment on the 0-100 block of Oxford Lane. The resident told police she left for work at 2 p.m. and, when she returned at 10:30 p.m., her door was unlocked and something was stuck inside the lock. Nothing valuable was reported stolen.

• A Carpentersville resident reported to police Nov. 26 that her iPhone 5 was lost or stolen while she was shopping at Carson's in Spring Hill Mall.

West Dundee

• Brittne Mortimer, 22, of the 1200 block of Brookdale Drive, Carpentersville, was charged Monday with driving while her license was suspended and disobeying a traffic control device, according to police. An officer stopped Mortimer's vehicle after she made a prohibited left turn on West Main Street at Second Street, police said. Mortimer was released, and her next court date is Jan. 7.

Geneva

• Devin T. Neises, 18, of the 2600 block of Lehman Drive in West Chicago, was charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor at 2:56 a.m. Nov. 29 on the 300 block of South Randall Road, according to police.

• Someone stole two halogen light bulbs out of two garage coachlight fixtures between 5 p.m. Nov. 23 and 6:30 a.m. Nov. 24 on the 2300 block of Sudbury Lane.

• A black Ojio backpack containing a silver HP Elitebook 9470 laptop computer was stolen out of a vehicle between 9 p.m. Nov. 19 and 7:20 a.m. Nov. 20 on the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue.

• Four vehicles were burglarized between 2:45 and 3:50 p.m. Nov. 15 at Peck Farm Park, 4038 Kaneville Road, and the Persinger Recreation Center, 3507 Kaneville Road. The burglar smashed windows to get to purses left on passenger seats or on the floor of the vehicles.
