Dining events: Kinfork brings campfire eating to the mall

Kinfork opening in Woodfield

Kinfork opens Monday in Schaumburg's Woodfield Mall on the lower level near JCPenney. Executive chef Phil Manolis serves up American dishes in an atmosphere "reminiscent of a rustic camping experience." With seating for 450, Kinfork focuses on wood-fired and house-smoked dishes, such as the honey and thyme-roasted root vegetables, sweet potato trout, maple spiced wings and a variety of campfire pizzas. Roti opens new Northbrook location

Roti Modern Mediterranean recently opened its second location in Northbrook. The fast-casual restaurant remains devoted to natural ingredients like organic chickpeas and sustainable meats such as "Free Bird Chicken" and "True North Salmon," as well as sandwiches, salads, rice plates and traditional Mediterranean side dishes including falafel, hummus and couscous. Lou's December sandwich

Spice up your December with Lou Malnati's sandwich of the month: the buffalo chicken sandwich.
