Naperville raises nonunion pay ranges

Salary ranges for nonunion employees at the city of Naperville have been increased by 2 percent.

City leaders said the move was taken to keep the city's wages competitive with other public and private employers.

The salary range increase does not mean current employees are receiving 2 percent raises; it means the pay ranges for future employees are now higher.

This is the first time the city has adjusted nonunion pay ranges since 2013, when they were increased 3 percent.
