Kentucky coach: Junior forward Goodin-Rogers transferring
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky coach Matthew Mitchell has granted Kyvin Goodin-Rogers her release after the junior forward's decision to transfer. She is the fourth Wildcat to leave the program since mid-October.
Goodin-Rogers started 15 of 39 career games and had averaged 5.6 points and 1.6 rebounds per contest this season for the No. 11 Wildcats (6-0). She leaves with career averages of 4.2 points and 2.9 rebounds per game, and Mitchell said in a release Monday that Goodin-Rogers "has decided it is in her best interest to leave our program and play her remaining years elsewhere."
Goodin-Rogers' departure follows decisions by junior guard Linnae Harper, last season's top rebounder, and freshman Morgan Rich to transfer. Oregon transfer Chrishae Rowe was dismissed Oct. 15 for failing to uphold program standards.
