Kids could pay for crossing-guard decision
I just finished reading the explanation by the Village of Buffalo Grove for the elimination of the funds for crossing guards at District 21 schools.
I am not happy that the village and our local school district have elected to put a value on the potential loss of lives of our children.
We have lived in Buffalo Grove for over 30 years. I am terribly disappointed that the logic of saving approximately $12,000 per year takes precedence over the safety of our children.
Isn't it time to put these petty disagreements aside and do what is required to ensure the safety of our children? Do we really need to wait till someone is injured?
Let's really ensure that Buffalo Grove is the best place to live.
