Vernon Hills shoots past Montini

Vernon Hills' boys basketball team sank 11 3-pointers and routed Montini 63-31 in the Northridge Prep tournament Wednesday night.

Tanner Tolari led the way for the Cougars with 17 points, including five 3s, while Mike Dougherty added 13 points, including a trio of 3-pointers. Jake Helfand had 9 points, hitting a pair of shots from beyond the arc.

Woodstock 57, Round Lake 51: On Tuesday night at Woodstock, Michael Green scored 19 points, hitting four 3-pointers, in the losing effort.

Jordan Keith added 11 for Round Lake (1-1).

Marian Central 72, Antioch 63: On Tuesday night at Woodstock, the victorious Hurricanes got 32 points from Adam Pischke.

Brandon Dade (18 points) and Reece Eldridge (12 points) each hit three 3-pointers for Antioch.
