Schaumburg parks earn 5-year accreditation

The Schaumburg Park District has again been recognized for excellence in services, facilities and management with its second 5-year accreditation by the Illinois Association of Park Districts and the Illinois Parks and Recreation Association.

This is the highest accreditation possible in Illinois.

"We are proud to have successfully completed the accreditation process," said Executive Director Tony LaFranere. "Congratulations are due to our elected officials, staff, volunteers and partners for continuing to meet residents' expectations for high-quality programs, services and facilities."

Accreditation is based on an extensive review of all district policies and procedures, and is renewable every five years.
