Wanderers beat Phoenix in A-League match to move into 3rd
SYDNEY (AP) - Striker Mark Bridge's 85th-minute goal gave Western Sydney a 2-1 win over the Wellington Phoenix, the Wanderers' fourth A-League victory in a row.
Federico Piovaccari gave the Wanderers the lead in the ninth minute before Manny Muscat equalized nine minutes later for the Phoenix.
Also on Saturday, Sydney FC was in fourth place after a scoreless draw with Perth.
First-place Brisbane has 14 points, one ahead of the Melbourne Victory and the Wanderers.
In earlier weekend matches, Brisbane and Melbourne City played to a 1-1 draw and the Victory beat Central Coast 2-1.
Adelaide is home to Newcastle on Sunday to conclude the seventh round.
