Schaumburg Park District closes golf course, cancels some weekend programs

With a major snowstorm looming, the Schaumburg Park District announced Friday that Schaumburg Golf Course has closed for the season and a Spring Valley drop-in event and other weekend programs have been canceled

Cancellations include Weekend Wagon Rides at Heritage Farm on Saturday and Sunday, Time for Turkeys, Take a Step Back and All About Apples programs at the Nature Center.

The golf course pro shop will remain open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday through December and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday starting in January. For more information, call (847) 985-2100 or visit www.parkfun.com.
