Arrest made in Waukegan bank robbery

A Kenosha man has been charged with a bank robbery last week in Waukegan.

The robbery occured at 11:30 a.m. last Thursday at a bank on the 700 block of North Green Bay Road, Waukegan police said in a news release.

Dale L. Smith, 48, was arrested Wednesday and charged with one count financial institution robbery, one count of robbery, one count of burglary and one count theft.

Smith remains in the Kenosha County jail on a $500,000 Lake County arrest warrant. He awaits extradition.
