Duke upgrades QB Sirk to probable for Virginia game

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - Duke has upgraded quarterback Thomas Sirk to probable for this week's game at Virginia.

Coach David Cutcliffe said Thursday that both Sirk and Parker Boehme will play against the Cavaliers on Saturday.

Sirk was in uniform but was held out of last week's 31-13 loss to Pittsburgh with an unspecified upper-body injury suffered in a loss to North Carolina one week earlier.

Boehme, a redshirt sophomore, made his first career start and was 23 of 42 for 248 yards with a rushing touchdown. His two turnovers came after the outcome had been decided.

Cutcliffe also said running back Shaun Wilson will travel and is questionable with a leg injury. Wilson, the team's third-leading rusher at 39 yards per game, has missed the past two games.
