Big Performance Weekend for Naperville Park District's Élan Dance Company

Naperville Park District's Élan Dance Company will perform at the Chicago Toy & Game Fair at Navy Pier at 12:00 noon on Sunday, November 22.

Élan's Apprentice Company will perform two jazz dances: "Bills," choreographed by Katie Wickey and "Black Magic," choreographed by Stacey Cohen. Élan's Junior Company will perform two hip hop numbers, "How I Feel," choreographed by Stacey Cohen and "Girls Talkin' Bout," choreographed by Lindsay Stein.

Élan also will be performing locally on Saturday and Sunday, November 21-22 at the annual Fox Valley Dance Showcase at Waubonsie Valley High School, located at 2590 Ogden Avenue in Aurora. The November 21 show starts at 7:30 p.m. and the November 22 performance begins at 3:00 p.m. tickets are available online for $8 at www.showtix4u.com or for $10 at the door. Élan's Senior Company performance will feature two jazz pieces, a dance entitled, "Whistle While You Work It," choreographed by Stacey Cohen and "Ex's and Oh's," choreographed by Haleigh Hutchinson.

Another highlight of Élan's fall schedule will be their participation in the 2015 Art for Life event sponsored by the Northern Illinois University Dance Department. The event takes place at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 5. Tickets will be available through Northern Illinois University and all proceeds will benefit AIDS research.
