National Weather Service issues wind advisory for Indiana
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for much of central Indiana.
The weather service says many areas of Indiana are seeing sustained winds of 20 to 35 miles per hour with wind gusts of up to 50 miles per hour. The weather service says the winds will make for difficult driving for high-proifle vehicles, especially on east-west roads. It also says some tree damage is possible.
NIPSCo was reporting more than 2,000 customers in northern Indiana were without power Wednesday afternoon. Indiana Michigan Power reported more than 2,000 customers in the Fort Wayne area and nearly 2,000 more in the South Bend area, including some in southwest Michigan.
