Snow pants and boots donations sought in Elk Grove Township

Elk Grove Township residents are being asked to donate new or gently used snow pants and snow boots for girls and boys who are in need and attend Elk Grove Township District 59 schools.

The donations will allow children whose families cannot afford those items to be able to participate in recess when snow is on the ground, according to township officials.

"Snow Angels" campaign donation boxes are at various locations through Dec. 15, including the township hall, all District 59 schools and the administration building, Parkway Bank branches on Elmhurst Road in Mount Prospect and Meacham Road in Elk Grove Village, Prince of Peace United Methodist Church, Shinnyo-en Chicago Temple, and Christus Victor Lutheran Church.
