Loyola of Chicago runs away from D-III Eureka 84-51

CHICAGO (AP) - Milton Doyle scored 18 points and Devon Turk 16 as Loyola of Chicago shook off a slow start to defeat Eureka 84-51 on Saturday night.

The Division III Red Devils opened with a Parker Gibson 3-pointer and held an unlikely lead for the first 10 minutes until Turk shot the Ramblers (2-0) back into the game.

Turk hit a 3-pointer to make it 10-9, then sank three straight jumpers to bring Loyola into a 15-15 tie. Beginning with Turk's surge of jump shots, the Ramblers went on a 35-3 tear all the way to a 44-18 halftime lead.

The change of pace continued in the second half, Loyola opening with a 12-5 run. The Ramblers shot 50 percent from the field and outrebounded Eureka (0-1) 49-30.

Gibson was one of three Red Devils to score nine points, he had three after halftime. Alex Weigand and Tommy Goulding also scored nine.
