Elgin church to host interfaith Thanksgiving service Nov. 22

The annual Elgin Interfaith Thanksgiving Service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, at Zion Lutheran Church, 330 Griswold St., Elgin. This annual tradition gathers people from many faiths in order to celebrate Thanksgiving. The service will feature people from multiple faith traditions (Christian, Muslims, Jews and more). Elgin Mayor Dave Kaptain will be the main speaker and reflect on gratitude and how to give thanks as a community

in Elgin. There will be music from several faith groups.

On Tuesday, Nov. 24, the church will have its annual congregational Thanksgiving service at 7 p.m. The service is a yearly chance to come together and give thanks as a community of people. After worship that evening, enjoy the annual pie fellowship with homemade pies.
