Harley group holds 'Teddy Bear' drive
The Lake Shore Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.), Chapter #3522, will hold its annual "Teddy Bear" drive to bring Christmas gifts to children in the care of the state of Illinois, on Sunday, Nov. 8. "We collect teddy bears and match box cars throughout the year to donate to the Department of Children and Family Services for the children in their care," said Joey Smith of Lake Shore H.O.G. "We have done this for more than 12 years and the smiles on the children's faces are sure to inspire us for decades to come." The event takes place at Lake Shore Harley-Davidson, 14000 Rockland Road in Libertyville, and begins at 9 a.m. with the loading of the stuffed animals onto a truck. The H.O.G. ride begins at approximately 10:30 a.m. when the motorcycle riders will proceed to Illinois Department of Children and Family Services offices at 500 N. Green Bay Road in Waukegan.
