Early education program discussion

The Round Lake Area B.E.S.T. Coalition (Bringing Everyone's Strengths Together) hosts Round Lake Area Early Education Café special meeting, Thursday, Nov. 12 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the Round Lake Area Park District Sports Center, 2004 Municipal Way, Round Lake Beach. This café will present current statistics and state of early education programs in Round Lake Area Unit District 116 and Lake County, with presentations by: Diana Nielander, United Way of Lake County Woman's Leadership Council; Philippe Melin, district director for Congressman Bob Dold; State Sen. Melinda Bush; Nick Heckel, principal, Pleviak Kindergarten Center; Joan Ellis, Round Lake Area Park District preschool manager. The presentations will be followed by brainstorming sessions and a tour of the newest preschool classroom. The panel discussion begins at 9 a.m. B.E.S.T. is a coalition that networks and collaborates to positively impact the Round Lake Area residents. Visit www.rlabest.org for more information.
