NENA's 'Homes for the Holidays' house tour returns Dec. 5

The Northeast Neighborhood Association's popular "Homes for the Holidays House Tour" returns - bigger and better than ever.

The walk, set for noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, features eight festively decorated houses, ranging along Prospect, Spring, Douglas, Brook, and Lincoln streets

Admission is $20. Registration will be at Advocate Sherman Hospital's Atrium on 901 Center St. in Elgin where visitors can pick up tour booklets and booties.

Participants in the tour are welcome to park in the Advocate Sherman South side parking lot at Slade and Center streets, across from the tour registration.

Visit homes in whatever order you like, but make sure you include stops at the traditional warming house, a small craft fair and the neighborhood's Butterfly Garden, all decked out for the holidays.

Ticket and registration information are available at www.NenaofElgin.org and on the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/NENAofElgin/.

Afterward, stop by the annual Elgin tree lighting ceremony at 5 p.m. in Civic Center Plaza.
