NCH honors local veterans during flag-raising ceremony

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (November 4, 2015) - Heroes walk among us every day. On November 11, Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) will stop to thank and recognize a particular group of heroes - veterans who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.

NCH is honoring and remembering local veterans with a special celebration and flag-raising ceremony on Veterans Day. The NCH Veterans Day Ceremony to Honor and Remember is scheduled at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, on the east lawn of the hospital campus, 800 W. Central Road, Arlington Heights.

The flag-raising ceremony will be followed by brief remarks from Steve Scogna, chief executive officer of NCH, and a musical performance by John Hersey High School's female a cappella group, Heart & Soul. Following the flag-raising ceremony, veterans will be honored with cake and refreshments inside the hospital near the east entrance.
