Car hits pedestrian in Round Lake Beach

One person was injured after a car struck a pedestrian Tuesday night in Round Lake Beach, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 8:30 p.m. on the street outside the Oak Hill Supportive Living Community, 76 E. Rollins Road.
An official with the Round Lake Fire Protection District said the victim was a “young person” who was taken to the hospital for treatment. The official didn't immediately confirm whether the injured person was the pedestrian.
The extent of injuries was unknown.
