Villa Park police searching for shooting suspect
Villa Park police were searching Monday for a suspect in connection with a shooting that left one man injured.
A 21-year-old Villa Park man sustained a nonlife-threatening gunshot wound at about 7:40 p.m. Sunday on the 900 block of West North Avenue, authorities said in a news release. Police said they responded after getting a "shots fired" call.
Police said the suspect is described as a Hispanic male between 18 and 20 years old, standing 5 feet 6 inches and weighing 150 pounds. He has long black curly hair pulled into a ponytail and a medium build.
