Great American Conference names football players of the week

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Running back Kris Oliver of Ouachita Baptist; linebacker Jameel Whitney of East Central Oklahoma; and kicker Houston Ray of Henderson State are the Great American Conference football players of the week.
The GAC announced the awards Monday.
Oliver ran for 193 yards and a touchdown and caught three passes for 84 yards and a touchdown in Ouachita's 31-20 win over Oklahoma Baptist.
Whitney recorded 11 tackles in East Central's 21-18 victory over Arkansas-Monticello.
Ray was 10-for-10 on extra points and kicked two field goals in Henderson's 76-7 win over Southern Nazarene.
