St. Theresa School Honors Local Veterans

St. Theresa School (STS) invites all local veterans to their annual Veteran's Day Service on Wednesday, November 11th at 12:30 p.m. at St. Theresa Church, 455 N. Benton St., Palatine. All Veterans will be recognized for their service to our country.

Students will pay tribute to honored guests by singing and playing an array of military and patriotic melodies. The guest speaker this year will be Lee Fialek, a Vietnam veteran. Members of the Knights of Columbus will also offer insight on what it means to be a veteran. The Palatine Fire department will provide the Color Guard and the Knights of Columbus will support with an honor Guard. Boy and Girl Scouts will dress in their uniforms.

St. Theresa School Parents Association will host a reception afterwards in the church gathering space. All Veterans and their families are invited to attend one of the most heartfelt traditions of St. Theresa School.

St. Theresa School was awarded the National Blue Ribbon Award from the U.S. Department of Education for 2015. They have been teaching children in and around the Palatine area for over 60 years.
