Madigan likes state the way it is

Michael Madigan has been and still is the king of Illinois. Bruce Rauner wants reform to restore the health of the Golden Goose that was once the prosperous state of Illinois. But King Madigan says no.

He likes what he's accomplished in Illinois. If you want to contest your property taxes, you now need a lawyer to represent you.

He likes high workers' compensation claims, because his lawyer friends get to keep a third of the settlements.

He likes high pensions for public employees, because he can count on their votes and donations to keep him in power.

He has squeezed and beaten every golden egg he could get from that Golden Goose. Not yet satisfied, he plans to cook and eat the Golden Goose and leave nothing for future taxpayers but higher taxes.

Absolutely pathetic.
