Full moon adds to Halloween spirit

A full moon graced suburban skies this week, if you were lucky enough to spot it through the cloud cover.

The October full moon is also traditionally known as the Full Hunter's Moon. "Some Native American tribes referred to October's moon as the Full Hunter's Moon, as it was the time to go hunting in preparation for winter.

This full moon is also called the Travel Moon and the Dying Grass Moon," according to the Old Farmer's Almanac website, The final two full moons of the year are Nov. 25 and Dec. 25.

Unfortunately, you're not likely to see much of the moon Saturday, on Halloween. The forecast is calling for a 90 percent chance of rain.

Have a safe and happy Halloween this weekend.
