Grain mostly higher, livestock lower
CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were mostly higher Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for December delivery was 7 cents higher at $5.13 a bushel; December corn was 1 cent higher at $3.77 a bushel; December oats were 1.25 cents higher at $2.2820 a bushel; while November soybeans were 5.50 cents lower at 8.7560 a bushel.
Beef mostly lower and pork lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
December live cattle was .05 cent higher at $1.4365 a pound; November feeder cattle was .35 cent lower at $1.9190 a pound; December lean hogs lost .73 cent to $.6068 a pound.
