St. Charles to host Veterans Day ceremony Nov. 11

Veterans Day is a holiday set aside to honor and thank the men and women who served our nation in the military, both in wartime and peace. It is a day when everyone can acknowledge what our veterans have sacrificed in performing the honorable duty of guarding national security.

The City of St. Charles Annual Veterans Day Ceremony will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, inside St. Charles Fire Station 1, 112 N. Riverside Ave. All are welcome to attend. Please join us to show your appreciation to our country's vets.

The ceremony will begin with a reading of the official Veterans Day proclamation, followed by an invocation, salute to the flag, a 21-gun salute and the playing of taps.
