The money raised at Christmas not only provides toys and food during the holiday season for those in need in the Elgin community, but it also provides for year-round emergency and family services like utility and clothing assistance, Nicor gas sharing program, food distribution and prescription assistance. It supports music and character building programs for children, Kids Club and teen ministry. It connects residents with divisional services like counseling and rehabilitation, and it provides emergency disaster services to first responders and victims of disasters.
