Takeaways from Friday night football

1. Practice on Monday:

St. Francis and Downers Grove North teams won their fifth game of the season Friday to become playoff eligible. It'll be a close call for the Spartans, but the Trojans look like a likely playoff team.

2. That's unusual:

For the second time in three weeks, there will be no high school football involving a DuPage County team on a Saturday. It's an indication of how many schools have added lights the past few years.
