Job search boot camp scheduled Monday at Oakton

Resume writing, job search strategies, and the importance of networking will be discussed during a career boot camp Monday at Oakton Community College.

The free event, sponsored by state Rep. Marty Moylan and DeVry University, takes place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Room 1550 of Oakton's Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road.

DeVry career service professionals will provide one-on-one resume consultations.

"Individuals need to have the proper tools to find work in today's competitive economy," Moylan said in a news release. "This boot camp will help jobseekers fine tune their resumes and interviewing skills to maximize their chances of landing a job."
