TV special to honor Mickey Mouse, other animated stars
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Mickey Mouse, Bart Simpson and Scooby-Doo will share the limelight in a TV special paying tribute to cartoon characters.
Fox said Thursday it will air a two-hour program honoring 40 animated stars that have touched fans with humor and even proved influential.
The program, titled "TV's Funniest Animated Stars: A Paley Center for Media Special," is from the nonprofit center that focuses on media and society.
"TV's Funniest Animated Stars" will include interviews with Tony Anselmo, who has voiced Donald Duck; Nancy Cartwright, who provides Bart's voice on "The Simpsons"; Tom Kenny, the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants; and other actors.
The special will air Dec. 7 on Fox.
