Safe, Fall Family-Fun at Trunk or Treat
Come trunk-or-treating at Immanuel Lutheran Church and First United Methodist Church on Sunday, October 26 from 3:00 - 6 p.m.! Both churches are located at the corner of Plum Grove and Wood Streets in downtown Palatine, just two blocks east of the Palatine Metra Train Station. This is the third year that Immanuel Lutheran has held the event and now that the First United Methodist Church is participating, the event will be bigger and better than ever. Everyone (all ages) is welcome and there is no admission fee.
You'll find decorated car trunks and kids "trick-or-treating" from them in this safe environment. There will be a corn relay, pumpkin bowling, pumpkin bean bag and other games. Kids can decorate trick or treat bags as well. The popular bounce house will be back this year. Cider and doughnuts (while supplies last) round out the event. You will also discover one of the most unusual bobbing for apples that you may ever see … hint: it involves construction equipment. Costumes are optional. Also of note: bring a nonperishable food item and get a prize!
In the event of inclement weather the event will be held indoors.
