Burglars steal up to 50 firearms from Anderson gun shop

ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) - Police say as many as 50 guns have been stolen from a gun shop in Anderson, the second such instance in just over two months.

Anderson police spokesman Sgt. Chad Boynton says between 10 and 50 firearms were stolen Monday morning from Crack Shot Guns. He says investigators believe most of the stolen firearms are handguns.

Boynton tells The (Anderson) Herald Bulletin (http://bit.ly/1M3bSpB ) that the robbers broke in through a roof shared by Crack Shot Guns and Gojoteki, a computer repair store next door, where they also stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

No suspects were in custody as of Monday evening.

Another one of Anderson's three gun shops, Gunslingers, was robbed Aug. 13, the second time in nine months at that location. Four suspects were arrested in the break-in.
