Senior Caregiving Seminar offered by Shields Twp.

Shields Township will hold a caregiving for seniors seminar on Oct. 28 to discuss the legal and financial issues that pertain to the maturing population. The public is invited to the free event, We Care for Seniors, which will be held from 1-3 pm at the Shields Township office, 906 Muir Ave., Lake Bluff.

"We know seniors, their relatives, and those who are caregivers have a lot of questions as someone ages," said Shields Township Supervisor Cynthia Maloney. "We have asked a number of people that have the answers to come and share their knowledge with us," she said.

Representatives from social service agencies, the legal and financial professions, and Social Security have been invited to attend. The seminar is the first in a series of We Care for Seniors presentations that Shields Township plans to offer throughout the year.

Reservations, while not required, are appreciated. Those attending the seminar are encouraged to bring a non-perishable item to support the Shields Township Food Pantry.
