Primrose School breaks ground in Long Grove
Aspiring to make a positive difference in the lives of children and their families in the Northwest suburbs, franchise owner Jenny Wierzchon broke ground on the new $4.5 million Primrose School of Long Grove.
Together with local Chamber of Commerce board members and Long Grove Village President Angie Underwood, Wierzchon hosted a groundbreaking ceremony Saturday, Oct. 10, marking the official entrance of Primrose Schools into the Long Grove community.
Primrose School is a family of accredited preschools offering high-quality early education and care for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old, as well as after-school care for children up to age 12.
"Officially breaking ground on Primrose School of Long Grove marks a huge step for me and my family as we embark on this journey," says Wierzchon. "I became a franchise owner so I could invest in a meaningful business that provides high-quality early education and care for children in Lake County. This is a dream come true."
Wierzchon is no stranger to the field of early education and brings with her nearly a decade of experience as a school director. As a longtime resident of the Chicago area, Wierzchon is thrilled to bring the Primrose experience, offering premier early education and care to her community.
Once open, Primrose School of Long Grove will be the fourth Primrose school in the Chicago area and will employ approximately 25 teachers and staff members.
Like the other Primrose schools across the country, the 14,000-square-foot school in Long Grove will offer the exclusive Balanced Learning curriculum, which blends teacher-guided and child-initiated activities with a special emphasis on character development.
"We send the warmest of congratulations to Jenny Wierzchon on the groundbreaking of her new school, Primrose School of Long Grove," says Jo Kirchner, president and CEO of Primrose Schools.
"At Primrose, we pride ourselves on offering our franchise owners and teachers outstanding support and proven tools as they help children grow and learn in a safe, nurturing environment. We are confident Jenny will do just that for the children of Long Grove."
Primrose School of Long Grove will be in Long Grove Commons at the intersection of Old McHenry Road and Highway 22. The school's construction is expected to be completed by late spring 2016.
