Edwards excels in Wisconsin's victory

University of Wisconsin linebacker T.J. Edwards was named the Big Ten Conference freshman of the week Monday.

Edwards (Lake Villa/Lakes Community High School) registered a career-high 16 tackles and forced a fumble in Wisconsin's defeat of Purdue. The redshirt freshman recorded 7 solo tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss. He was part of a Wisconsin defense that held the Boilermakers to a season-low 191 total yards.

This is Edwards' first career weekly award.
