Conference to address issues facing caregivers

"Support Matters: Getting the Help You Need When Caregiving," a free family caregiver conference, will be presented Saturday, Oct. 24, by Family Alliance at its Huntley facility at 12555 Farm Hill Drive, Suite 800, as part of its "Connections for Those Who Care" series.

Topics will include: "Planning for Support," "What is Your Heart Rate" and "You Can Count on Your Hands." Discussion and information will range from legal issues in caregiving to relaxation techniques.

Coffee and refreshments will be available at 8:30 a.m. with presentations to begin at 9 a.m. At approximately 12:30 p.m., a free lunch for participants will follow presentations.

The conference is open to people caring for an individual age 50 or older but participation in limited. Call by Wednesday, Oct. 21, to register at (224) 654-6300.
