GiGiFest in Hoffman Estates Oct. 18

GiGi's Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Centers will introduce the new 53-foot trailer donated by Nationwide Rail Services at the free GiGiFest, noon-3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18 at the agency's headquarters, 2350 W. Higgins Road in Hoffman Estates.

In addition to revealing the truck design, visitors will paint pumpkins, play in Chicago Fire soccer clinics and enjoy bounce houses, a petting zoo, a DJ, gelato samples, Playhouse tours and the annual debut of GiGi's awareness calender featuring Playhouse participants - who will strut their stuff on the red carpet.

There is no charge to attend GiGiFest, and the event is open to people of all abilities.
