Grain mostly higher, livestock lower
CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were mostly higher in early trading Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for December delivery was up 2.5 cents to $5.1075 a bushel; December corn was 2.75 centa lower at $3.7625 a bushel; December oats were 1.75 cents higher at 2.3350 a bushel; while November soybeans gained 1.5 cents to 9.12 a bushel.
Beef and pork were lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
December live cattle was .72 cent lower at $1.3670 a pound; November feeder cattle was .70 cent lower at $1.8625 a pound; December lean hogs shed .27 cent to $.6655 a pound.
