Miller Formless under new ownership

McHENRY - Miller Formless Co. founder and owner Charles P. Miller has sold the company to a group of individuals who plan to continue the Miller Formless name and legacy.

Terms of the sale were not announced.

The new ownership team is led by Scott Smith, John Smith and Tom Uutala. The three, who have had lone ties to the Milelr family, bring expertise in the fields of engineering, construction, and finance to the company. They will rely on current employees and management at Miller Formless to continue to provide quality service, slip form machines and other products to the construction industry.

Scott Smith will lead the organization as CEO and will focus on growing the Miller Formless name and legacy.

"I am extremely humbled and grateful to Chuck and his employees for welcoming us into his family," said Smith. "Chuck is a pioneer in the field of slipforming, but more significantly, he knew it was important to build a quality business through his employees. His dedication to them and their efforts in building Miller Formless machines have made Miller Formless a great company and I am thrilled that they've welcomed me, John, and Tom into their family."

Miller will remain president and continue to be an adviser to the new owners.
