Keep hatred out of sports rivalries

There is no humor in hatred.

Your inclusion of the article about the Cubs and Cardinals by Burt Constable represents a new low in your publications.

Humor should not be used to promulgate or encourage hatred. Your newspaper should be encouraging cooperation and good sportsmanship even in the midst of fierce competitions, not the kinds of envy and hatred that Constable is encouraging.

If he desires to root for the Cubs, that is OK and admirable. If he wants to denigrate and insult others, his diatribes should not be published.

Yes, I do proudly wear and bleed Cardinal red, but without hating and denigrating others.
