Highland Park denies Maine West

Maine West's football playoff hopes took a turn for the worse, as the Warriors suffered a 21-7 loss to host Highland Park in Central Suburban North play on Friday.

The loss puts Maine West (3-4, 1-2) needing two victories in the final two games to come playoff eligible.

The Warriors host Deerfield in Week 8 before concluding the regular season at Glenbrook North.

Highland Park improved to 2-5 overall and 1-2 in the league.
