Purdue seeks leader for its newly formed charter high school

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Purdue University is searching for a leader to helm its new charter high school that will boast a science- and math-focused curriculum.

Brooke Huntington, the assistant dean of the Purdue Polytechnic Institute, says the university is looking "for an innovative and enthusiastic leader" to head the Purdue Polytechnic Indianapolis High School.

She says the person chosen for that post will play a key role in its development of the Indianapolis school, which is set open for students in fall 2017.

The high school's curriculum will be based on the Purdue Polytechnic Institute's course offerings. It will provide a science, technology, engineering and math focus for Indianapolis area students in grades 9-12.
