School says South Carolina game with No. 7 LSU still on

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Athletic officials at the University of South Carolina say next Saturday's game against No. 7 LSU is still on despite flooding in portions of the city.

The school said in a statement Monday that all parties are continuing to monitor the situation. Both South Carolina and LSU are in contact with the Southeastern Conference about conditions.

Many streets and roadways in Columbia were shut down on Sunday because of floodwaters.

The game is scheduled for a noon kickoff at Williams-Brice Stadium.
