Native seed collection Wednesdays in Prospect Hts.

The Prospect Heights Natural Resources Commission is collecting native seeds from 5 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday through Oct. 28. Native seed is the lifeblood of prairie restoration and it needs to be collected, processed and sowed. This is an opportunity to get fresh air, learn about native plants and do a good thing for the community. All ages are welcome. Please wear a jacket, long pants and closed-toe shoes as the prairie can be wet sometimes. No tools or experience are required. Visit www.phnrc.com for information.
