Doyle, Buffalo Grove top Barrington

Buffalo Grove's boys soccer team added to its lead in the Mid-Suburban East by topping visiting Barrington 3-1 on Tuesday.

Senior Colin Doyle led the way for the Bison with a hat trick, getting assists from Ryan Drum, Tyler Nieman and Alexis Alvarez.

Brad Mayhorn stopped 6 shots for Buffalo Grove.

• Jose Aguilar scored once and assisted on another goal to help the host Wildcats past Elk Grove 2-0. Dennis Gavrila also scored, and Vicente Castro had an assist for the Wildcats.

• Fremd and host Rolling Meadows battled through two overtimes before settling in a scoreless draw.
