Grand Avenue to close in Lake Villa for reconstruction

Grand Avenue (Route 132) will be closed to traffic west of Fairfield Road in Lake Villa for several months beginning Monday, Sept. 28, for a reconstruction project.

Westbound traffic will be routed to Fairfield Road, Monaville Road and Route 59 to reconnect with Grand Avenue, and the reverse will be in place for eastbound traffic.

The road closure will last until May 2016, and the overall project is scheduled to be complete by October 2016. Visit idot.illinois.gov for more information.
